Hospital to hospital transfers

We support patients needing transfers to private hospitals from the NHS; from private hospital to private hospital — in the UK or from abroad — and to private hospitals with the highest level of intensive care facilities. Processes are case managed by our private hospital partners.

Acute admissions units

Based on a clinician’s referral letter, we can refer stable patients with serious but non-life-threatening medical conditions into our partner hospitals. This can be arranged 24/7 without going to Accident and Emergency.

Moving stable patients to a private hospital requires the following capability:

  • Consultant on-call rotas day and night
  • Clinical teams ready to receive patients 24/7
  • Private ambulance services (road and air)
  • Case managed transfers by our partners

Specialist services

At The MedicBook, we connect you with verified experts for accurate diagnoses, advanced treatments, and hospital to hospital transfers.

Rehabilitation rebuilding lives

Our hospital partners are renowned for their rehabilitation facilities post critical illness or injury. The highest levels of rehabilitation capability — for brain, spinal, stroke or post ITU— take place at The Wellington Hospital (HCA UK) and Cleveland Clinic London.

Medical evacuation

We can advise on medical repatriation and mobilising teams for transferring patients from overseas hospitals, often after injuries. Working with our private hospital partners, patients will receive smooth, safe and fast high-dependency transfers — from ambulance to admission. *Exclusions: no strokes, major road traffic accidents or crushing chest pain until stable.

Reviews

I don’t think I'm exaggerating to say that talking to Samantha changed my life. I had been battling with accepting I needed some kind of major surgical intervention for a rapidly deteriorating back problem. I was filled with fear, uncertainty and inability to commit to a procedure I knew I needed because I just didn’t know whose hands I should entrust my life with. Samantha gave me a summary of three surgeons, crisply delivered in language I understood. Having someone who’d done the homework was hugely reassuring. I went with her recommendation and have never looked back. Surgery is scary. Samantha made it far less so by directing me to surgeons leading their field and at the top of their game. My thanks to Samantha for this is heartfelt.

I cannot say how grateful I am that you got me an intro to Ben - my outcome would have been very different without your help. It was the most important thing anyone could have done for me.

Thanks to Samantha Boyce, I found the best surgeons for my shoulder reconstruction. The Cleveland Clinic London was state-of-the-art, and I can’t recommend it highly enough.

— Shoulder surgery patient

We contacted Samantha at The MedicBook unclear about a spinal condition. After a few questions she instantly knew who would be the best person for my son to see. I genuinely do not know what we would have done without The MedicBook.
